SUMMER CONCERTS near Albemarle Plantation

My idea is that there is music in the air, music all around us; the world if full of it, and you simply take as much as you require. ~Edward Elgar

Tap your feet to the beat in Elizabeth City for this year’s Music on the Green at Mariner’s Wharf.  The fun starts at the end of July on Tuesday evenings from 6-8.  Food will be available from American Legion Post.  Bring your lawn chair and take in the waterfront scenery while you enjoy the music!

Spread your blanket out on the expansive lawn at the historic Newbold-White House Sundays at 5:30 pm.  The relaxing jazz tunes will set the tone for a mellow summer evening!  The enjoyment begins June 3rd!

Edenton boasts a little something for everyone at the 20th Annual Music and Water Festival.  Live music will be on the Waterfront Stage all day entertaining residents and visitors alike at Chowan County’s 350th Anniversary!  In addition to music there will be water activities, arts and craft booths, children’s activities and food and beverage vendors!  The activities span two days on the weekend of May 19th and 20th.

For a change of pace on a leisurely Sunday morning, check out the Sunday Jazz Brunch at The Table at Inner Banks.  Local musicians begin performing at 11am and the festive atmosphere doesn’t end until 3pm.  Bring a friend and enjoy the seasonal menu and local talent!

The Barker House Lawn alongside picturesque Edenton Bay will be hosting monthly music concerts every 3rd Sunday afternoon from May through October. You’ll have a chance to hear your favorite genre of music throughout the season with everything from Bluegrass and gospel to Classic Rock and Roll being represented!  The fun begins at 2pm!
